Consolidation of Illinois School Districts


Governor Quinn recently proposed the elimination of nearly 60 Illinois school districts through forced consolidation.  Under this proposal, and the pending legislation that supports it, Emmons District 33 could be eliminated WITHOUT LOCAL VOTER APPROVAL.
